“Meditation practice isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It’s about befriending who we already are.” Pema Chodron

Queer therapist in St. Louis, MO.

My approach

You want to be one step ahead but you’re always two steps behind. You have a REALLY loud inner critic that never stops. You feel tired from your racing thoughts, fidgeting and fast heart. Sometimes everything feels hopeless, like nothing could get better. I can help with this.

My first priority is building a trusting relationship with you.  Deciding to enter therapy is a difficult decision. By creating a good relationship, I hope you feel comfortable bringing what you want to therapy. I firmly believe that you are the expert in your life and I will come alongside you to help you meet your goals.

I’m a super curious person and this comes out by connecting your experiences with your feelings and thoughts. I show up as an authentic therapist so I hope you can bring your authentic self to the session and if not then I hope to assist you in finding and living out loud as your authentic self.

I do love utilizing mindfulness, meditations and deep breathing so I am definitely not your average talk therapist. I’m interested in learning about Eastern medicine, energy and sound healing, and love essential oil. I enjoy movement classes and believe nature can be incredibly healing. I also love arts and music. I look forward to incorporating some of these into the therapeutic process as well as you feel comfortable.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, licensed in MO. I received my Masters in social work at Mizzou!

I have been a social worker for 10 years working with a variety of populations including alternative schools, therapeutic foster care, inpatient hospital psych units and dialysis. I have a multitude of experience with anxiety, depression, stress and self esteem with my clients.

I am trained in CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and have experience with person center and strengths based therapy.
